Estates [Property/Land and Building/Space]
Posta Uganda’s property portfolio comprises several real estate properties with land and building developments, doted all over the country and in prime locations.
Posta Uganda has a number of properties in Kampala City and major municipalities and towns countrywide with rentable space. This includes office space, commercial space, residential space and open space to accommodate things like kiosks, parking, washing bay etc.
Posta Uganda also has land on different tenures that includes titled land, freehold land and land on lease.
The property mentioned above is available for letting out to government ministries, corporate bodies, NGOs, and SMEs; this in addition to private companies and individuals.
Posta Uganda is currently engaged in a property re-development drive that will have most of its properties renovated to render them competitive and with state of the art facilities and services fit for this modern era; a feat expected to be achieved in the not so distant future.
How To Apply
For property or space directly managed by the General Post Office a client contacts the Estates Office to show interest in renting the property/space. The client can do this in writing, through a phone call or reach the office physically.
An appointment is arranged to show the property/space to the client.
A client is then shown around the property/space for them to make a choice.
If a client is satisfied with what they have seen and therefore made a choice, they sign a contract [rent agreement] that stipulates the terms and conditions for renting the property/space.
A client makes payment for rent that is usually monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annually.
Pricing
The cost of rent varies as this is determined by the size of the space rented, the building housing the space and the location of the said building.
The same applies to the land for letting out. Rent is determined by the size and location of the property to let out.
Posta Uganda, however, offers rental rates that are friendly and competitive within the market.
